CONGRATULATIONS

to Trudy and Dale Norwood on the birth of new son Mitchell Isaac, he is brother to Caleb.
Mitchell was born on 24th May and weighed 9lb or 4.220kgs.

Mitchell is a long awaited addition to Trudy and Dale’s family. Trudy had been fully responsible
for our web-site, photography and a Volunteer in our Office on Tuesdays and Fridays until recently
to take a break to play full-time Mum.  Trudy will still continue to do some “behind the scenes”
work as time permits, and hopes to be back soon.

Thank you Trudy for your ongoing commitment to the Refuge.

DONATIONS NEEDED

  • With the cold weather upon us we are now in need of BLANKETS for bedding
  • We are running very low on PASTA and RICE which is used to supplement the dog food each day
  • HESSIAN SACKS(potato bags) or similar type bags for our dogs bedding.  We can also use SHADECLOTH.  If you have any at all please consider donating them so the dogs don't have to sleep on concrete floors
  • Any sort of BUCKETS for water
  • We are running extremely low in CANNED PUPPY FOOD and KITTEN SACHETS
  • MY DOG canned foor for our aging dogs
  • Any donations of doggie or cat TREATS and TOYS are also gratefully accepted.

If you can help, you will find our food

PLEASE NOTE:  WE CANNOT USE PILLOWS OR CUSHIONS OF ANY KIND, PLEASE
DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN THE FOOD BINS LOCATED AROUND THE COAST.

We are DESPERATELY seeking volunteers to work in the CATTERY on  MONDAYS, TUESDAYS, WEDNESDAYS & THURSDAYS.  We are also seeking volunteers to work with the dogs on THURSDAYS.     The day starts around  7.30am for feeding and cleaning of the runs. For a couple of hours
work we can promise loads of unconditional love and affection in return.

Limited Pen Sponsorship Still Available

We are seeking expressions of interest in New Sponsorship Opportunities, go to our Pen sponsorship to see what we have available.

                                            ANIMAL ADMISSIONS
We accept Cats, Dogs, Kittens and Puppies from many sources, including surrenders.
As the refuge maintains a strict non-euthanasia policy, there may not be enough room in the refuge for new admissions. Surrenders are made only by appointment, and when space is available. We reserve the right to reject any animal without explanation. A fee is payable upon surrender to assist in caring for the animal.
LOST DOGS & CATS - NEW INFORMATION

If you have lost your dog or cat,  visit the Sunshine Coast Council website at www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au. They now have photos of all animals inpounded, check with them regularly.   If you have found a pet check our lost pets page to see if you have found a lost pet. We can also post a picture and information as to where you lost your pet.
             ADOPT-A-PET

We have dogs and cats arriving each week, for the vets to desex, heartguard, micro chip, worm and vaccinate.
They then are given a flea bath and capstar, before they are to be rehomed.

The Refuge has a strict NON-EUTHANASIA POLICY.

Pets will give a lifetime of love and affection in return for a good home, food and lots of tender loving care.
We would love to have caring people welcome one of our four-legged friends into their family. If you're thinking about welcoming a loving dog or cat into your family, please consider our four legged friends requirements.

Shire councils have different regulations regarding animal ownership, A permit may be required to keep more than 2 dogs or cats on residential premises.  Please check with your local council.

PLEASE NOTE:   If you are renting a dwelling, confirmation in writing
from your landlord about animal ownership at that dwelling is required.
