MARLEY      Male
Mini Foxi X Heeler X Koolie      14 months

The refuge is approaching the re-homing of Marley differently.  He is currently in a Foster
Home with one of our refuge volunteers and we ask for any interested persons to ring the
refuge and we can arrange for him to be brought in to meet his potential new owners.
Marley was not happy in the refuge environment so went to a home for some TLC and to help
him gain confidence. Marley has come along really well and is progressing daily, he has great
basic obedience and will appreciate the company of an older or more mature female dog.
Marley is ok with cats that are not afraid of dogs but if the cat runs, he does like to chase.
He is a very playful and affectionate boy, and as he is a young dog, a big puppy really, he may
dig, chew and do all the usual puppy things!
Marley has a fearful, timid nature but comes around quickly with the right  owner to guide him. Marley is not a dog for a beginner, and the person that we are seeking needs to be committed to giving Marley the time he needs to settle in to a new environment and learn to trust his new
owners. The refuge is offering Marley as a long term foster dog to the appropriate home for
this boys needs.

Marley is a kelpie x heeler x mini foxi and he is nearly 15 months old. He is an active boy,
who needs plenty of daily exercise, to keep him fit and healthy, so his new foster owner
will need to be energetic  and enjoy daily walks/runs.

IN MEMORY OF MR STAFFY

Mr Staffy captured the hearts of many Refuge Volunteers with his happy outgoing
personality and his way of "talking" to everyone. The poor boy was surrendered to us
through no fault of his own, he had arthritis and joint problems accentuated by the
fact that he was overweight on arrival.    Through all this he remained a very enthusiastic
character and was never bad tempered. We tried very hard to get him a home, but
unfortunately, it was not to be, and the refuge became his final place.  Mr Staffy
will be sadly missed and remembered fondly.

Please consider adopting an older dog or cat and giving him/her a new lease on life.
Having their own loving home can extend their lives and bring them so much joy.

DEDICATED TO  OUR  GOLDEN  OLDIES

We are the golden oldies, and true our muzzles they are
grey but our hearts are as big as Texas, filled with love
to give away.

In the twilight of our years, we find ourselves without our
family and  friends, and in their place is uncertainty and
fears.

So if you want to have someone, to brighten up your life,
please take a golden oldie home, and in return we
promise you sloppy kisses during the day and a foot
warmer all night through.

I hear you say that our journey together may be short,
please have no fears,  that the comfort that you have
given us will outweigh all the tears, and the memories we
made together will be etched upon your heart, to remember
us with laughter and a smile, how you took a sad old dog
and made it's life  WORTHWHILE.
