NOTE: All of our dogs are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea bathed once a week and are given heartguard once a month. These dogs are waiting for a New Beginning.

Prices of the Dogs vary from $170 & up at Managements discretion.

If you already own a dog, we ask you to bring it in for a compatability test before purchasing a second dog.
Please check with your local council to find out if you are allowed a second dog.   If you are renting, please
bring in written rental approval for ownership of a dog on those premises.

IMPORTANT:   'When choosing to adopt a puppy, a $100 deposit is required in addition to the purchase price of the puppy, which will be refunded in full when the puppy is returned to the refuge for desexing at a later specified date.'

IMPORTANT PRE-ADOPTION INFORMATION If you are intending to adopt any of the puppies listed on this page, please be aware of two important things: 1. If you are living in a rental property, you must bring with you written approval from your real estate. If you fail to bring this with you, you run the risk of missing out.
The "L" puppies would love homes where they will be taken to the dog park or to the beach on a regular basis. As with all puppies, they will chew, dig and be destructive. With training and socialization they would make a great addition to most homes. One free puppy class is included in their adoption fee.

The "M" puppies are of a mixture of working breed dogs. Therefore they will require energetic owners and plenty of space to exercise, preferably acreage homes. As with all puppies, socialization and obedience lessons will ensure your new pet becomes a well rounded dog. All puppies will chew, dig and destroy things, so plenty of exercise and stimulation will help to keep boredom at bay. One free puppy class with the refuge is included in the adoption fee. MELANIE Female Border Collie X Cattle 8 weeks	RAYNOR Female Kelpie X 6 months Raynor will be a very active dog as she is of working breed. She is seeking a home where her owners are energetic and has plenty of room for her to stretch her legs, acreage would be ideal. Training is a must with any puppy, something that Raynor should excel at.
ELIZABETH Female Staffy X Boxer 1 year Elizabeth is a very active girl and even though she is 1 year, she acts as though she is still a puppy. This means she may still chew, dig and destroy things. With training and obedience lessons and lots of socialization this girl be a mans best friend. Her new home will need to have secure high fencing, no wire.	PRINCESS Female Shihtzu x Terrier 2 years Princess is a happy bundle of fluff. To keep her good looks intact, Princess will require committed new owners to make sure she is groomed/clipped regularly. Princess is not suitable for homes with small children or toddlers.
JACK Male German Shepherd X 3 years Jack is a lovely boy and has a regal appearance. Jack would love to live with a playmate or visit the dog park regularly. We are unsure about cats and kids.	SHEBA Female Shepherd x Kelpie 3 years Sheba seems to get along with most other dogs. She is a very active girl and would love to visit the dog park for some socialization. Sheba would benefit from obedience training.
RAGS Male Terrier X 5 years Rags is a great natured boy looking for a lifelong home. He would love his new home to be with older children only, 8 yrs +. Rags wouldn't mind the company of another dog and needs his owner to make sure he becomes a regular at the grooming salon. We are unsure at this time if Rags is ok with cats.	LUCY Female German Shepherd X 7 years Lucy can be a little shy until she gets to know you. She has a lovely gentle nature and is ok with other dogs. Lucy would make a great companion dog for a semi-retired couple/persons.
RALPH Male Staffy X 2 years Ralph is a solid boy with plenty of get up and go. He will be best suited to an energetic owner. Ralph seems ok with other dogs, we are unsure about cats and other animals. Ralph will need high secure fencing, no wire fencing.	FLICKA Female Border Collie X Kelpie 18 months Do you have wide open spaces??? Flicka would love to come and live at your place. Flicka seems OK with other dogs and is best suited to energetic owner with acreage homes.
TERRENCE Male Maltese X 2 years Terrence loves being the center of attention. He would love a home with families with children aged 6 - 8 yrs and over. His new owners must be committed to regular grooming to keep this boy looking tip top.	RED DOG Male Red Kelpie 10 years + Red Dog is ready for retirement. With still plenty of get up and go, this boy is looking for a home where he will get a daily walk and lots of love and attention. Red Dog has a wonderful nature, but would still prefer his new home be child free.
BENNY Male Border Collie X German Shepherd 2 years This boy is not a Beginners Dog, he needs a competent pack leader to give him the confidence he needs, he has a fear of some men, but comes around quickly. He gets on with other dogs, but we are unsure about cats at this stage. Benny has good basic obedience, but we are also including a training lesson for the new owner to help him settle in. Benny has already had a couple of previous owners, so we are searching for a committed,”forever” home. Benny has a lovely gentle nature and likes to shake hands. If you are interested in this boy, home will be via an interview with our Head Supervisor, Kym, please contact the Office. NO RENTALS please, this dog needs a secure home. No children under the age of 12 years please.
PUGSLEY Male Staffy X Labrador 6 years Pugsley seems OK with most other dogs. We are unsure about cats and children at this stage. Pugsley would love a home with someone who would take him on a daily walk or jog. Secure fencing is a must.	ESTHER Female Staffy X 6 months Esther is a great age for training, which can turn this girl into a great pet. She will need daily exercise, would love to run in the dog park or head to the beach.
DON'T FORGET TO BRING A LEAD AND COLLAR IF YOU INTEND TO GIVE A DOG A NEW BEGINNING.
KOBY Female Staffy X 2 years Koby arrived in the refuge heavily pregnant, unwanted by her previous owners. She was with us for a couple of weeks before giving birth to 12 lovely staffy x wolfhound pups. Koby was the most wonderful mother and not a pup was lost, however a toll was taken on her own body by all the constant feeding and demands of 12 robust babies, despite all her feeds and supplements Koby became very thin and lost some of her hair through stress. The puppies were finally ready for adoption and all went out to lovely homes, now it is Koby’s turn to find a “forever” home of her own. She is now in very good health, with a shining coat and her body is back in great shape. Part of the requirement of the new home we are seeking, are NO RENTALS, as this girl needs stability in her life and is not to be discarded again, next we need a home with secure timber, colourbond or brick fencing of at least 6 ft to keep her safe, NO WIRE FENCES OF ANY KIND please. Koby is dog friendly with a similar type of dog, we at this stage do not know how she is with cats, she is fine with children, but NO TODDLERS, as she would like to enjoy a peaceful life. If you feel you fit the criteria for the beautiful natured girl please come in and meet her.
JAZZ Female Malamute 1 year Jazz is a head strong dog in need of an experienced pack leader, must be previous malamutes / husky owners. She is socialised well with other dogs STRICTLY NO children of any age! This is not a beginners dog.	MABEL Female Staffy X 6 Years Mabel is an older staffy who seems ok with other dogs. We prefer Mabel to be rehomed in a mature home where she can have a quiet and peaceful household.
